Title: RE: /net automount functionality

Thanks for your response and help!  I've basically been playing around with it and haven't found a solution that makes /net automounting work as intended.  I am currently working around the problem by using an indirect map to list all my machines, which is a pain.  However, I'll let you know if I come up with a better solution.

BTW-  I think I finally got this rich text/HTML thing taken care of, I hope.

I don't know why, but "automount" seems to be a dirty word on this forum - I
posted an autofs & /homes query here last week and got no response at all...
;o)

I don't know whether this is relevant to your problem, but this is a reply I
got from Kurt Ludwig after I posted on the axp-list to my query:-

I'm still battling with the installation of v 4.0.0 of autofs - I'll let you
know if and when it fixes my problem.

By the way - Outlook is still posting HTML.  Do Tools|Options|Mail Format
and set "Send in this message format" to "Plain Text"...

I'd like to setup the auto.master and auto.net file so that when you cd
/net/<hostname>/<exported filesystem> it can map any exported filesystem
from any host on my network without having to manually enter each host in an
automount map? I have nis running and have been able to use regular indirect
automount maps, so nis and automount is running fine.  I can get it to work
on AMD Automounter, but would like to use the native autofs if at all
possible.  A support call/email to Red Hat came up empty.
Has anyone been able to do this?  Any and all comments/suggestions are
welcome.  Thanks in advanced for your help.
-Guillermo
BTW-- I'm running RedHat 6.2.
