[root]# locate libesd.a
/usr/lib/libesd.a
[root]# rpm -qf /usr/lib/libesd.a
esound-devel-0.2.18-1_helix_1
If you don't have helix gnome installed, you can usually get the
esound-devel with whatever esound package you have installed. If you don't
have any esound package installed, check the gnome website, rpmfind.net,
freshmeat, the contribs directories, etc. It's also possible it's on the CD
if you installed from one.
