Let me start by saying that I REALLY suck at working Apples for the most
part. But I will try anyway... ;o

Try setting the -rand2num option as well. If I remember correctly, it was
the auth system used for the chooser to change passwords.

But I could be wrong.

You all may want to try throwing out some log entries if you have any.
Anything may help. But you may also want to go look for a netatalk mailing
list where there could be some experts.
