If it is not running and no messages in the logs take a look at the directories
under /etc/rc.d the rc*.d dir should have a sybmolic link in there to
/etc/rc.d/init.d/sshd make sure it is there.

looks like a reverse lookup failed. What is the DNS setup like can you resolve
the host you are conncting to (by name and IP ) from the ssh server?
