I spent the better part of my Sunday getting my new Yamaha CD-RW working.
After recompiling my kernel without IDE CD support and turning on scsi
emulation, I was able to see the drive in cdrecord. I started taking a look
at some different software packages and still have yet to find anything
great. So far the best is Gcombust but I wouldn't say it's perfect. My main
thing is that I want to be able to burn mp3s to playback on my Apex DVD
player. Gcombust does this but it's a little awkward. On my Mac with Toast,
putting files in an Album titled directory keeps them separated and allows
me to select them on my DVD player by album. Doing this with Gcombust mixes
all songs together. Anyone out there got any advice?
