Nice card..  I'd take this approach:

Install RH6.2 on another box, shove the new driver in and rebuid the module.
After rebuilding the module, replace the driver on the boot floppy with
your shiny new module.  Now install your new box..  Oh, and make sure
you make an image of that new floppy and make it available somewhere on
the net. :)

Not that I've verified those steps, but see no reason for them NOT to 
work..
