Hi Charles,
Try getting the rpm 3.0.5. It solved all of my "major numbers <= 3" problems
but YMMV. I have also heard that this can install rpm 4 but I can not
confirm this. You may want to try. I got the 3.0.5 from www.rpmfind.net
