Hi all people,
Have encountered following problem in installing xcdrecord.
Have both
smake-1.2a08.tar.gz
and
cdrecord-1.8.1.tar.gz download and stored under /usr/src/
(from ftp://ftp.fokus.gmd.de/pub/unix/makefiles/makefiles-*)
(ftp://ftp.fokus.gmd.de/pub/unix/makefiles/bin/* could not find the tarball
only following 3 files there:
smake-i386-sunos5*
smake-i586-linux*
smake-sparc-sunos5*
having all of them download but don't know how to use them)
Untar both of them without problem. However the "INSTALL" manual of
smake-1.2 looks like that one in cdrecord-1.8.1
-- under the source directory /usr/src/smake-1.2
# make (went through without problem)
# make install (not advised in INSTALL manual)
(no response)
Cant' install the smake-1.2
-- under the source directory of /usr/src/cdrecord-1.8.1
# make
(went through without problem)
# smake install
bash: smake: command not found
(Remark: also tried "make all" but the result was the same)
Kindly advise how to proceed. Thanks in advance.
