Greetings. I just got a note from [EMAIL PROTECTED], suggesting that I
upgrade my gpm package. It suggests downloading:
ftp://updates.redhat.com/6.2/i386/gpm-1.19.3-0.6.x.i386.rpm
I downloaded the file (for local redistribution) from priority.redhat.com
and attempted to install it on a system running Redhat 6.2 with, I believe,
all previous patches installed. The installation appeared to go most of
the way to completion when there were a couple of warning messages:
[root 6.2]# rpm -Fvh gpm-1.19.3-0.6.x.i386.rpm
gpm ##################################################
/sbin/ldconfig: warning: can't open /usr/lib/qt-2.0.1/lib (No such file or
directory), skipping
/sbin/ldconfig: warning: can't open /usr/lib/qt-2.0.1/lib (No such file or
directory), skipping
Indeed, there is no such directory as /usr/lib/qt-2.0.1/lib, but there are
various other, apparently related directories:
[root 6.2]# ls /usr/lib/qt-<TAB>
qt-1.44 qt-1.45 qt-2.1.0
[root 6.2]# ls /usr/lib/qt-2.1.0/lib/
libqt.so.2 libqt.so.2.1.0
It looks as if I have an updated version of the library that the gpm
installer is looking for. I would have thought that would be OK. No? Any
suggestions?
Thanks.
