Well no, if I ping the router (which by the way is a Cabletron box
our upstream gave us. I have no idea what it does or how it works.
All i know is that they plugged the T1 in the spot where it says T1
and we plugged and patch cord from the spot where it says ethernet
into our switch, set the default gateway and viola) it from
bandit.image-src.com, ip address 216.64.108.207, (an RH6.0 box) it
works fine. It's something to do with networking on this new 6.2
box. I'm thinking specifically that it's something to do with the
DNS client. I've tried doing a fresh install. I let the installer
config networking for me and I still came up with this error. I've
tried different network cards with no luck. I'm at my wits end. I
can't understand why this doesn't work.

So, you can ping outside of your network but you can't ping your
router,
right? Is your router denying ICMP requests? What kinda box is
your
router?
