Sendmail rewriting To: header

Running RedHat 6.2, Sendmail 8.9.3.  When I address mail to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] sendmail on the recipient end (my server) is rewriting
it to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Needless to say the mail is bouncing with a "we
do not relay" message. Any thoughts as to why the rewrite and how I can
fix it?
