Well, /boot is really only needed if you use a large drive
(>1024 cylinders) in a machine which can't handle it (and I'm not even
sure whether that still holds true with the last developments on lilo -
haven't checked). /boot is then used to keep the kernel below
1024 cylinders so lilo can see it. However, a 504MB drive is small
enough to be entirely below 1024cyl., so there shouldn't be any
problems. (504MB is the limit, if I remeber correctly).
