Hey guys,

I spent 16 hours on my 56k modem downloading the newest Helix GNOME from
helix-code.com. I was
all excited, and go into linux to try it out. Only to find that it won't let me
install it!! I
have to download everything in Windows and then go to Linux to install it due to a
winmodem I still
haven't replaced. So I couldn't use the installer. Can I, however, use it now that I
have all the
packages? Does Helix count as a whole new WM or just go over the existing 6.2 stuff?
I tried
installation and upgrade, from my user account (su'd into Gnorpm) and as root. When I
tried to
install it kept on saying there were conflicts but I said ignore than it gave me
faults and Gnorpm
crashed. Every single time. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks. I just
bought RH 6.2 and
installed over my old installation of 6.0. It has no new improvements other than what
I'm trying to
do here with Helix.
