I'll explore that too. Using RH6.1 at this time. If you have the Gnome desktop, that player is probably "gtcd". This is easily changed in the "GNOME Control Center" -> Peripherals -> CD Properties to be any other CD player. I use xmcd. Sorry, but I think gtcd is just plain ugly.
