I did do "vi" but don't even have SSH loaded AFAIK, so didn't SSH prior to
vi.

But... I tailed -f the file as I logged on, was gonna see if vi was doing
it, and I found that:

I logon, then "su - root" and that's when it generated the error.  Something
in root's setup?  Where do I remove it?  I'm not using X.
