Hi all. possibly not the best place to ask this, but I've had no luck elsewhere... I'm running E16 (without Gnome or kde or whatever) on a few redhat systems. at home, on my machine, I have it set up with key binding so that ALT + Funxtion Key will goto that virtual desktop. Now: this was configured under E15, using the e-conf tool. Fine an dandy. At work, where I have compiled e16 into my home directory (which incidently I beleive is not the problem!) I have apparently the same key bindings set up (according to $E_ROOT/enlightenment/config/keybindings.cfg) but I can't use ALT + Function Key to change virtual desktops. And it's anoying, to say the least :) the relevant section in keybindings.cfg goes as folows: __NEXT_ACTION __KEY F1 __EVENT __KEY_PRESS __MODIFIER_KEY __ALT __ACTION __A_GOTO_DESK 0 and so on for all function keys. same key bindings work from upgrade of E15 to E16, but not for fresh install of E16. Now, you may be saying "use e-conf to configure it like you did for E15" but that simply isn't an option. I can't get the bugger to compile (it want's gnome installed). I was wondering if there are any gurus out there who might know of how to get this working properly? Everything else works beautifully, but this is the only thing that is anoying me! Chris Dowling.
