Question: Do you have a swap partition set up? If not, that
could make everything reaalll slow.

I notice this, b/c my machine has a faster processor than
yours, 233 MHz, but less RAM, 32M. I notice that, for
instance if I have a page loading in Netscape, and I switch
to another desktop, that the machine starts swapping
HEAVILY. This is a pain, but if I didn't have swap space
set up, then the system would prob'ly slow to a complete
crawl.
