If I have an NFS share mounted, and am playing (for example) an mp3 off of that share, and the network goes down, NFS will bring my linux box to a halt. I restore the network connection. Still unusable. Is there something I'm missing? At the very beginning, I have a little control. I found that nothing network related will work, including ping.
