I have Red Hat 6.1 and have installed mysql off thepower tools cd rom that
came with the 'Deluxe' 6.1. I am getting error messages about not being
able to connect to the database... for example I type in
mysql -u root to which I will receive an error like " Unable to connect to
mysql (111)'
Any ideas? I am trying to get an external ZIP Drive working so i can use
the most recent source code 9 I am not too fond of rpms) which has
frustrated this whole process...speaking of which, does anyone understand
how to get any of those nice zip tools that emulate IOMEGAs tools working? I
think I am trying gazip+ orsomething...
