Hi all

I have a need to connect two computers
using cat-5 cable and a nic in each.

I'm wondering if I need a 'different type of cable'
than the standard cat-5 cable one uses
when connecting more than two machines using a 'hub'.

In this situation I will 'not be using a hub'....
just cat-5 cable from nic to nic.

I believe I heard somewhere that a 'crossover cable'
is necessary... am I correct in this assumption?

Thanks in advance for your kind assistance.

Johnny
