Hi all, I have an ethernet card SMC Ultra Ether EZ 8K, that I use to get connected to the internet via cable modem and Windows98. I recently installed Redhat Linux 6.1 on this machine on a separate hard drive. But, linux doesn't seem to sense this card. At boot time, linux doesn't seem to recognize the card and gives a 'FAILED' status. We are providing the io-port and IRQ that we get from Windows 98. It is working on Windows but not on linux. I used linuxconf to set the smc-ultra as the Kernel module and io-port and irq, for eth0. It adds the appropriate entries in the /etc/conf.modules insmod - gives 'device or resource busy' message. What am I not doing right? Please help. Thanks, Ajanta. -- To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
