Hi Jack,

It's definitely possible and I've done it. Unfortunately, I'm at work on
my Solaris machine in my office and I've done StarOffice spreadsheets
mostly at home. I'll try to remember to check when I get home.

Ahh -- I remembered that I *did* install StarOffice for Solaris. Just
tried it and it didn't work for me the first time, setting up the
"orientation" property for the printer. The "Help" gave me a clue
(normally "Help" things in GUI tools are pretty useless -- particularly M$
style help). OK ... ready for the secret?...

You have to change **BOTH** the printer properties and the "Format" for the
spreadsheet. In the normal spreadsheet view do Format->Page->Page and then
select the "Landscape" radio button. If you've also set the printer to
landscape mode, this should do it for you. Not the most intuitive thing
in the world, but...

By the way, there's a help/mailing list thing somewhere at Sun for
StarOffice. You should find it if you poke around. I was able to get help
with a problem exporting StarOffice to Excel (Some formulas didn't work,
though they looked correct. The fix was do do a global replace of "=" with
"=" in all the formulas after importing to Excel -- weird, but it worked).
