Ok... I thought I'd give these buggers ANOTHER chance for redemption and
lo! they screw up again!!!

Do I dare continue trying?

I installed last night (home computer) XFree86 4.0. Pretty simple
installation and selected "card listing" from XF86Setup. Sure enough it
wasn't on the list. I selected a couple of "alternatives" that looked
good. I was able to successfully install the card as the software was
happy when it tried to start up the Xserver.

I installed KDE 1.1.2 on RedHat 6.1 with no problems but when I try
startx I get a message that there were no X screens found.

Did I miss something? I've done this many times (on Voodoo3 3000's)
with RedHat 5.2. I can't imagine this being difficult on 6.1...

BTW, I even tried manually selection options in XF86Setup. Setting
memory, clock and all that. Zippo!

Anyway, tips? comments? suggestions?

I welcome them all :-)

Frank

This is Linux Country. On a quiet night, you can hear Windows NT reboot.
