RE: Squid weirdness

All right... thanks to the Squid users' list and Duane Wessels, the problem
is solved. No idea why, but I had:

nameserver      localhost

in /etc/resolv.conf. Only IP addresses are allowed in there, so Squid borked
on it its own inimicable fashion.
