Hi all,

Can anybody explain what happening with the following 3 log entries.
I've got lots of similar entries over the last few weeks. I've
obviously replaced the first 2 octets of the actual IP addresses.

Mar 8 16:16:05 server portmap[30074]: connect from 10.0.5.27 to
  callit(ypserv): request from unauthorized host
Mar 8 16:16:09 server named[14490]:ns_req:sendto([10.0.24.147].1024):
  Network is unreachable
Mar 8 16:16:09 server portmap[30076]: connect from 10.0.5.27 to
  callit(ypserv): request from unauthorized host

The first and third entries are requests to contact our ypserver and
are denied, but this suggests the network is up and running. The
second entry says the network is unreachable. All other indications
show the net as functioning.

The system is Redhat-6.1 with updates including

bind-devel-8.2.2_P5-1
bind-utils-8.2.2_P5-1
bind-8.2.2_P5-1

It doesn't seem to cause any problems but I'm just curious. Any ideas.

Regards,
Tony.
