Easy.  Because it didn't work.  I installed the rpm and, while I got no
errors, /usr/local/atalk wasn't installed by it.

Well from the people I've talked to so far, you are not the norm.

Anyhow, I've got it installed finally.  Now I need to figure out how to make
afpd start up whenever I reboot.  Any suggestions?
