Did you read the gotchas page?
Like I've mentioned tons of times before, it's all an installer bug, it
forgets to add
alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc
to /etc/conf.modules.
Add the line manually ("echo "alias parport_lowlevel
parport_pc" >>/etc/conf.modules") and it'll work.
lpr and lpd are NOT broken.
