Upgrade. I missed the first part of this. Did this work with prior
version? Were it me, I would completely exit X (init 3 if booting to
X), and try 'cdplay' as root. This would eliminate some possibilities.
Is this a new cdrom? I caught myself thinking ATAPI CDs are somewhat
standard, but learned otherwise. I have one Acer, bought another (50x)
that gave me many problems. Just saw recently that 2.2.15pre5 added
support for this exact model which solved my problems there.
