If you have that xterm open, check in /mnt/cdrom/ to see if there's an RPMS
directory or a RedHat/RPMS directory.  It's likely that you are trying to, or
have, installed the source RPM.  This will not install the executables, but
will rather install the tarball and the RPM configuration files.  To deal with
a source RPM, I think you do an "rpm --rebuild <source RPM name>.rpm", but
that's the harder way to do it.

Where did you get the CD-ROM?  CheapBytes, LinuxMall, ??
