Hi,

Is anyone using ipxping? From my rh6.1 PC I configured the kernel to
recognise ipx, and slist will show me Novell file servers around the site.
However, what I want to do is incorporate a sort of 'ping for IPX' with the
Big Brother monitoring software. I found ipxping but can't seem to get it to
work - I should add that I know nowt about IPX really. Using slist I see
(for example):
  CSTE02 000CEF02 000000000001
  CSUFD1 0000CFD1 000000000001
  BS_FS2 000000B2 000000000001

However, when I use ipxping I get:

ipxping 00:0C:EF:02 00:00:00:00:00:01
ipxping packet send.
Time out.

Or I get the error:

ipxping 00:00:E2:17 00:A0:24:6C:34:AA
ipxping packet send.
error: ipx_recv: Invalid argument

Can anyone give me a clue about this? The Servers are mainly running Novell
4.11, some are still at 3.122 I think, and possibly one or two at Netware 5.

Many thanks,

John.
