about a mousewheel, but the excutive summary is this:
Use a protocol of IMPS/2 in your XF86Config.
Add the line ZAxisMapping 4 5 to the pointer section in your
XF86Config. Remove any reference to Emulate3Buttons if there is one.
Any app which supports wheels will now work. See the page I mentioned
to sort out some apps that don't.
