did you install the dhcp package ?
If yes (or after you have done it) yoou can try to edit (assuming
your ethernet card is eth0)
/etc/sysconfig/network-script/ifcfg-eth0
and put
BOOTPROTO=dhcp
Normally you don't need to do anything else.
Then run
/sbin/ifconfig
and
route
to see what it says.
