I have had some terminal problems in the past. I don't use this program,
but this solution has always worked:
Some programs when you run them put a .terminfo directory in your home
directory. Check for a file or directory by that name and remove it from
the home directory of your user. If its a terminal setting, that's
probably where the problem is.
Another problem could be the 'TERM' environment variable, try this,
running the program between each one if the .terminfo doesn't work:
export TERM=linux
export TERM=vt100
export TERM=vt102
Those commands should be typed from the command prompt in non-graphical
mode.
