Well, like I said, I don't care much about conciseness here, it just needs
to get the job done, which it does. I'll look into regular expressions more

Yeh .. I mis-read your source and thought you were after the "Net Change"
field.
Still, it should be an easy matter to change the regular expression to match
the bit you were after.
I was really trying to point out the fact that the whole thing could be far
more concise in perl than what you had come up with.
Obviously I botched up the example.. but the rest of the code is still
valid..
