Well, it all depends what sort of attacks and normal use you expect. I
would make things as tight as possible (advanced stealth) and back off if
you have problems. If your friends are going to be logging into your home
network to shell accounts across insecure connections and scanning you
periodically, you can back off now. But in that case, you're not going to
have much security anyway.
