Are you saying I should not use the IP address.  Instead use
"ns1.ohiocounty.net." .  I had always understood to use the IP address incase
of a translation failure.

The MX record is pointing to a real IP address "mail.ohiocounty.net", did you
see something that indicated otherwise or were you giving me forewarning.
