Yes, it is an oversight. And if anybody recalls, almost the day after
the 6.1 release, I myself found and posted a fix to this list, and it
appeared on the Red Hat support website shortly after.

I also figured out, after a day of digging, why people were reporting the
fix to not work. And I posted it to this list, which is searchable through 
dejanews.

It's funny. When I did a search on dejanews for the following "/dev/lp0
not detected", four references to the solution turned up on the first page 
alone.

There is a big difference between screwing up and ignoring the problem and
screwing up and doing due dilligence to make sure that there is a working 
fix.
