Hi all ,
While trying to connect to the internet on my home computer I
get the error message " The pppd daemon died unexpectedly " . The log file
contains the following
:connect ppp0 <-->/dev/ttyS0
:Serial line is looped back .
:Connection terminated.
The suggestion at the bottom of the log file is "You haven't started the ppp
software on the peer system " . The pppd help file gave an internet address
(dejanews.com) which would explain the problem but the quoted file does not
exist so I am at a loss . Any suggestions would be appreciated .
