I've read two howto-s for port forwarding- one involves patching the kernel and recompiling (and is reccommended exclusively), the other uses redir- which is not reccommended. Sooooo which do I want to use? I want to forward selective connections (of course), but still maintain a high degree of security. On a side note, two odd things- a recent ps axw showed about 20 httpd.in with ? as it's owner ID. This is a new development.... any idea why they are hanging around? And lastly... Ftp won't work :P I rpm -i <package> and still no go after reboots. I don't remember *not* installing it, but it's not there.... suggestions as to where ftp might have gone and hidden itself? ok, that fills me up for the weekend.
