I have no idea how/what a leased line works/is, but you probably
just have to edit the chat script it uses to connect.. you should be
able to put in any initialisation string for your modem and it will
get sent each time it tries to connect, just before it dials.

If you have used one of the redhat ppp config tools .. then it's
probably a file called;

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/chat-ppp0

I'd personally need more info to help, but maybe someone else
here has had some experience in doing what you are trying to do.
