i try to look at things like this as a way to encourage vendors to support
linux, in a way they will understand.
i bought a scanner for linux, so i checked what sane supported, and used
it as a shopping list. when i sent in the registration for said scanner, i
made sure to say i was using it in linux.
maybe if people make a point to tell the vendors that they are using
linux,
a: more vendors will kick in support
b: news will hit other vendors that they are losing sales.
just a couple of pennies tossed into the discussion...
