I have a "Aztech sound galaxy washington 16" sound card. Its documentation claims to support Adlib, SoundBlaster Pro, and Microsoft Windows Sound System. I am using kernel 2.2.5-15 in a RH 6.0 distribution. My goal is to play MP3. I am trying to use xmms. when I plan mp3 with xmms it produces noise. My system is a P60 with 64 megs of ram. I have followed the instructions in the sound howto. Here are some outputs: cat /dev/sndstat OSS/Free:3.8s2++-971130 Load type: Driver loaded as a module Kernel: Linux localhost.localdomain 2.2.5-15 #3 Thu Nov 11 04:47:52 EST 1999 i586 Config options: 0 Installed drivers: Card config: ^^^^^^^ why no card configuration?
