Yes, it's possible, but booting from the ATA66 controller can be
tricky.  I'm not booting from the ATA66 controller (I boot SCSI).

It's not bad at all, if you're used to rolling your own kernel.

You'll also want to throw this into your /etc/lilo.conf:

append="apm=smp-power-off"

That will allow you to have the machines power themselves down when you do
a halt.
