Not totally true.  SSH2 provides a handoff mode.  If you install both
ssh1 and ssh2 on the server and have the handoff setup, then when the
ssh2 daemon detects a connection attempt from an ssh1 client, it will
invoke ssh1 to service that individual connection.  Works well for me.
