You're lucky. I, my wife, and several others have experienced the Iomega Zip
drive "click of death" failure; in fact I just (finally) got a replacement for
my external scsi zip drive after 3 months of battling with Iomega. I finally
had to go back to my dealer, a good friend, also, and he fought with them for
over 2 weeks. Finally sent them a credit card number, got the new drive, and
I picked it up yesterday. Pain in the rear.

I've had good luck, and no disk or drive failures with only one removable disk
media - the Imation 100Mb superdrive.

Best!
