I'm trying to get running the copy of BRU2000/PE which is bundled with RH
5.0.

It installed just fine, and I downloaded the manuals from EST's web
server and printed them out. However, I have 2 questions which the manual
doesn't answer.

  1) When I run find, it turns up two copies of brutab. One is /bru/brutab
(which is incomplete), the other is /etc/brutab (which appears complete).
Am I correct in assuming that the /etc/brutab is the one I want to keep and
use?

  2) My tape drive is a H-P/CMS Travan 3000 which uses 1.2G tapes. The
drive is on a FC-10 controller, which is a faster version of a floppy
controller specifically for the CMS drives. How do I name this drive in
brutab?

The /etc/brutab starts with the line:
        /dev/st0
but, I thought that indicated a SCSI tape. Someone on this list sent me
some information suggesting that I use /dev/zqft0; I don't know what the
'zq' stands for (I assume that 'ft' is floppy tape).

So, what do I name this tape, how many buffers should I allocate, and do
I specify the tape size as 1200MT (the uncompressed size rather than
3200MT, the compressed capacity)?

TIA,

Rich
