I've had a manuscript laying around for a few years now, and I've
desided to get it into a printable form so I can run some copies off and
bind them up. ( it happens to be an RPG system and I'm actualy getting
time and people to play test )

Now, I spend the last few days using StarOffice 4.0 making some rather
nice looking pages - however it's book template stinks. So I just did
my own layouts, however in either place, there is no way to tie headrs
to chapters, just to right and left pages. So I can't have it look like
a normal book, with the Title on Left page and chapter on the right
header. They remain the same for all pages.

Also the page numbering system has a few bugs in it ( just have to do
some incantations to get it to renumber anything that uses the page
number code in headers or footers - worked fine in the body of the page
)

I'm looking for something comparible to Quark or Pagemaker so I don't
have to load up quark in NT and work on it ( since the NT box is this
Linux Box <grin> ) Also I have yet to find a postscript emulator for NT
like ghost script to be able to print out test pages on my canon 620)

Any recomendations? Something graphical I can play with the look of
pages and see the effect, rather than manulaly hard coading type setting
commands as is the way I've seen one way to do it.
