Somebody has probably posted this type of problem before, but I
haven't seen it ;-) Anyway, just installed a brand new Redhat 5.0
server. named won't execute properly. When I try named stop, no
messages, just the command prompt & named is still in the process
list. Same for named start and named status, no
messages, just the command prompt. named.restart does work, but it
generates a message that there are no more processes left in this
runlevel. I have upgraded most of the rpms that are necessary
(bind,tcp wrappers,...). I would love to figure this out, and I'm
just banging my head on the wall. Really hard. Thanks for any
assistance!
