Free ? These folks got many people to buy MS BOB. <g>
They won't give away the OS.
(btw they admit in a recent MIND issue (Microsoft Interactive Developer) 
that the BOB "technology" was used for the Office 97 Assistants).

With the common WDM driver model in win98 and NT5 they are well
on the way to eventually killing win9x and having NT in common use.
They do need to lower the price though.
DirectX 6 will be out in two months and may very well cause many folks
to abandon 9x once their game and multimedia titles work on NT.
