I think you need to address the "smart host relay" section
of your /etc/sendmail.cf file.
Look for this line:
# "Smart" relay host (may be null)
DS
Put the ISP's SMTP server name after the "DS", with no
preceeding space.
example:
# "Smart" relay host (may be null)
DSmy.isp-smtp.net
Then set-up your mailer to use your ISP domain in the email
address so people can reply to you.
